Bridge US

Full Stack Web Developer  |  Remote  (San Francisco, CA)  |  Nov 2018 - Present

Bridge US is a leading technology-based immigration services provider, simplifying the immigration process for companies ranging from venture-backed startups to multinational corporations.

I joined as the third full-time developer on the team, and first remote developer. As a Full Stack Developer, my primary focus is to build features from end-to-end, with a Rails back end and a React front end. I’ve also spent time working on background services, handling data scraping and document conversions.

Notable achievements include:

  • Led the implementation of a full-site search feature, utilizing the Scenic and Textacular gems, with a React front-end
  • Migrated 10 models from using Paperclip for AWS S3 file storage to ActiveStorage
  • Joined the on-call rotation within three months
  • Involved in the developer interview process, along with training new developers and mentoring junior developers
